How it works?

If you choose to get a Snap-On Smile fitted, the process starts with your dentist taking photographs and casts of your teeth. You can choose from different smile shapes and shades to get precisely the look you want. Your order gets sent to the Snap-On Smile lab, and they create your stunning new set of teeth, usually within 28 days.

As soon as it arrives, you can come to the office so that your dentist can check the fit, and then wear it home. You can easily remove it when you don’t need to wearit, and you can get a Care Kit that will make sure your new smile stays stain free and comfortable for as long as possible.

There’s no need to worry about the Snap-On Smile irritating your gums, because it locks around the shape of your teeth, ensuring your gums aren’t irritated. Because it doesn’t cover the roof of your mouth, it’s very easy to get used to: it immediately looks natural, and you can get used to the new shape of your teeth very quickly.

Who is it suitable for?

Most people could benefit from using a Snap-On smile, whether it’s a way of test-driving a new smile or just making sure your teeth are perfect for a special occasion like your graduation or wedding.

It is not usually advised to wear a Snap-On Smile during sleep, although in some cases it can be useful for people who grind their teeth in helping protect their mouth. This should, however, be discussed with your dentist first and isn’t a guaranteed use for the product.

Won’t it stain like my natural teeth eventually?

No. The Snap-On smile is made of a special crystallized resin which is durable and resists staining. It’s fine to eat and drink normally when wearing a Snap-On Smile, even when you’re enjoying foods that might normally stain your teeth. The Snap-On Smile is also resistant to staining via tobacco products.

In addition, no food is off-limits while you’re using the Snap-On Smile. Once you’re used to wearing it, you can eat as you would normally without any worry or hassle.

Won’t it feel bulky?

Because of the nature of the resin, the Snap-On smile is easy to adapt to the contours of your teeth. While it may take you some time to get used to it, and it will obviously add a little to the thickness of your teeth, this won’t be noticeable for anyone except you. Any problems getting used to speaking while wearing a Snap-On Smile typically resolve within a few days if you practice wearing it.

How long will it last?

The product is designed to last at least a year, like other products such as brux guards. With proper care, it may last longer than that. While the material is durable and heat-tolerant up to 200°C, care is needed when removing it to avoid twisting and deforming the resin. Typically you would have to remove the Snap-On Smile using both hands for ease, and to avoid any twisting or bending of the appliance.

Will the product do any damage to my teeth?

No. The Snap-On Smile fits around your natural teeth without any need for drilling or shaping, which is one of the major attractions of the product. If you experience any problems getting used to it, you can just remove it.

What if I want permanent work done later?

The Snap-On Smile may no longer fit your new teeth, but by that point it won’t be necessary! Because the Snap-On Smile is easily removable, it makes no difference to any other work that needs to be done on your teeth. Given the affordable pricing, it makes a good intermediate step even if you are planning to get work done on your smile in the future.
