The Importance of Your Dental Check Up

Your dental check up is an essential part of preventative care. At Chinook Mall Family Dental our patients come first and we will spend as much time with you as needed to go over your concerns, your history as well as an in depth examination of your mouth.

If this is your first visit to our South Calgary office, we will do what is called a comprehensive examination. You will be asked about your medical history, any medications you are on or medical conditions, as these affect your oral health in some cases. We will do a full check of your mouth, neck and head area. X rays will also be done. This is a good time make us aware of any issue’s you are experiencing with your mouth or teeth, bleeding gums, tight jaw, sores or pain and sensitivity. It’s important to let your dentist know if you are pregnant or have any allergies as this might affect the course of action with any needed procedures. Your well being is our concern.
